A life should be celebrated. Life celebration funerals are exactly that. Every service is individually and personally designed to reflect and celebrate the life of your family member or loved one. Over the years funeral traditions and customs have changed. The way we say “good bye” is now much more individual. A life celebration funeral is unique and personalised to each family’s wishes. These are not non religious funerals but individual personalised tributes to a life, spiritual is a term we hear a lot from the families we look after. Our services are used by deeply religious families as well as those planning a life style funeral to every detail.
One of the key foundations of a life celebration funeral is care. Care for the ones left behind, care for the deceased and care in the precious task we have been given. As an Australian owned family business we make the funeral the meaningful event that it should be to honour the “life that was theirs”.
Every life is individual and unique. The ways that we celebrate that life should reflect that idea. In a life celebration funeral you can plan every aspect of the funeral down to the last detail. These funerals are officiated by one of our approved funeral celebrants, your own celebrant or clergy. Our celebrants are only approved after though review and all must have at least 3 years experience.
The life celebration funeral may or may not contain religious aspects. This is your decision and to be discussed with your funeral arranger and celebrant. The service does focus on your family member or loved ones life, celebrating the journey that is a life. The funeral is individually planned and very personal.
Chris Timmins believes a funeral service should be as individual as the person whose life it commemorates. Families and friends are encouraged to participate in planning a service to reflect the life of the deceased and no request should be considered as "too unusual".
Chris Timmins services may be held in your local church or in other venues such as Chapels or funeral homes or at the gravesite. There are other venues which a family may choose, such as parks or beaches. However, permission must be obtained to conduct a service in a public place.

Chris Timmins Funerals provide the full range of funeral services, serving the entire community – men, women and children. From the first phone call through to carrying the coffin to the completion of the service itself,
services include -
Transfer of the deceased to the funeral home
Personal consultation with the family in planning the arrangements and details of the service
Responsibility for all details involved in arranging the service
Liaising with the cemetery or crematorium of choice
Registration of the Death
Consultation with the clergy or celebrant
Placement of press notices
Liaison with florists
Liaison with clubs and other associations
Use of our chapels and private viewing facilities
Preparation of the deceased for a viewing
Embalming, if required
Supply of coffin or casket of choice
After service refreshments, if requested
Assistance with grief support, if required
